Independence Tube

Opened in 1972 on the southwest side of Chicago, this division now resides in a 270,000 sq. ft facility producing:

• SQUARES - 2" SQ x .125" through 6" SQ x .375"
• RECTANGLES - 2-1/2" x 1-1/2" x .125" wall through 7" x 5" x .375" wall
• ROUNDS - 4" OD x .125" wall through 6-5/8" OD x .375" wall

Chicago does not schedule appointments. Pick ups are on a first come - first serve basis. Our Chicago Division is easily accessible from all major expressways in Chicago and can also ship via rail.

From the North: If you are coming from Wisconsin on I-90 or I-94, take I-294 South to Interstate 55 (Stevenson Expressway). Take I-55 North toward Chicago. Exit at Cicero Avenue Southbound. Take Cicero South to 73rd Street. Turn right (West) onto 73rd Street and go approximately 2 miles to Meade Avenue. Turn left onto Meade. Independence Tube is the only building on the right.

From the South: If you are coming north on I-57, exit on I-80 East to I-294 North. Exit at Cicero Avenue Northbound. Take Cicero North to 73rd Street. Turn left (West) onto 73rd Street and go approximately 2 miles to Meade Avenue. Turn left onto Meade. Independence Tube is the only building on the right.

If you are Northbound on I-55, exit at Cicero Avenue Southbound. Take Cicero South to 73rd Street. Turn right (West) onto 73rd Street and go approximately 2 miles to Meade Avenue. Turn left onto Meade. Independence Tube is the only building on the right.

From the East: If you are coming from Indiana on I-80/I-94, take I-294 North toward Wisconsin. Exit at Cicero Avenue Northbound. Take Cicero North to 73rd Street. Turn left (West) onto 73rd Street and go approximately 2 miles to Meade Avenue. Turn left onto Meade. Independence Tube is the only building on the right.

From the West: If you are coming East on I-80, Exit at I-55 North toward Chicago. Exit at Cicero Avenue. Turn right (South). Take Cicero South to 73rd Street.
