Independence Tube Corporation produces a swedgeless tube for the hitch industry that is 2-1/2" square with a wall thickness of 1/4" and is flash removed. This tube will receive the standard 2" bar or 2" square tube used for hitch applications. Independence Tube specifically designed this to remove a step in your production.
This material is currently sold to fabricators that sell directly to Tier 1 Automotive OEM's as well as the aftermarket industry. Independence Tube produces this material to A500 tolerances on chemistry and physicals, with weld integrity testing done every 50 pieces plus gauge testing to assure quality and consistency.
We also produce the accompanying 3" square collar material that fits over this receiver hitch material.
Another receiver hitch tube that we produce is a .215" wall material, 2-1/2" square that is made to closer tolerances but needs secondary sizing operations to assure the telescoping fit needed for the 2" bar or 2" square hitch application.
