At Independence Tube, rectangular structural tubes are always produced with the welds on the larger dimension. There are some fabrication requirements which require the weld to be on the smaller of the two dimensions, or "the short side". Our Chicago and Marseilles facilities have the capability to produce some sizes with the weld on the short side. Minimum order required.
